宋国有个农民。

There was once a farmer in the state of Song.

他在春天种下了幼苗。

He planted seedlings in the spring.

过了几天，他去地理看幼苗的长势如何。

Several days later , he went to his fields to see how they grew.

他发现它们压根没长。

He found they didn’t grow an inch.

于是他失望地回家了。

So he returned with disappointment.

他对家人说：“我很担心装甲的涨势。

He said to his family , “ I ‘m worried at the growth of my corps .

所以我把所有的幼苗都拔高了，帮助它们长高。”

So I plucked all the seedlings up to help them grow .”

听他这么说，他儿子震惊了。

After hearing such words , his son was frightened .

他立马赶到田里，看到所有的幼苗都枯萎了。

He went to the fields immediately , and saw all the seedlings were dead .

这个故事希望告诉我们欲速则不达的道理。

The moral of the story : More haste , less speed .
